OPALS - Older Persons Activity Learning and Safety in Sarratt

An OPALS event is purely for over 65’s, if you feel that you may have or know a resident that this may benefit then please also pass this on to them.

The aim of an OPALS event is to reduce the vulnerability of residents to scams, burglaries, fires etc. by providing a sample of support, advice and help available within the local community.

At the event guests will be seated, served refreshments and then representatives from a variety of agencies will discuss the services they offer and to provide advice.  Also provided is refreshments and a chance to win a hamper making this a sociable event, its a great opportunity to meet other residents in their local area. Not all agencies attending will be doing talks, so there will also be the opportunity to walk around the stands, collect some safety related freebies and speak one to one with other representatives.

The event lasts around 2 hours, It is important to arrive on time to ensure that you do not miss out on any of the speakers, or freebies on offer.
