Pints of View

Pints of View will not be meeting in December, so our next informal get-together will be onJohn  ­­Monday 21 January 2019 John Knight will lead a discussion on the current state of university education. Do students owe a debt of gratitude or too great a debt? Should the system be reformed to ease the financial burden on students – whilst providing first-rate higher education? Does the present method of funding, driven by market forces, lead to a lessening of academic rigour? Has higher education fallen into craven disrepute? Everyone is welcome to come along and consider how the world of academe should be put to rights.
