The penultimate lecture of our 2017/18 programme
will be fascinating – and different!

Annie Gray is one of Britain’s leading food historians, and is a popular broadcaster, writer and lecturer, and a consultant for the National Trust and Historic Royal Palaces. Annie has appeared on many T.V. and radio programmes, including “The Great British Bake Off”.

Her lecture examines the art of cooking through its results on the table. Annie will use paintings, illustrations and photographs to show how food presentation has been influenced by wider trends of different eras, from Tudor times to the mid-20th century.
