Sarratt School’s Sport Day
This week, Sarratt pupils participated in our annual sports day. The weather was a scorching 32˚ but the school still performed amazingly well, with the final scores going into the thousands.
On Monday, it was the turn of Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. We interviewed them to find out their highlights of the day and all but one child we spoke to said they loved the running races! Reception have completed some fantastic writing and pictures to show their favourite parts of the day, we were very impressed with their work. Mrs Whittaker (Year 2 teacher) commented, “I really enjoyed hearing people encouraging each other but I wish we could have turned heat down for a bit!”
On Tuesday, it was the turn of Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6. We were split into our house teams (Cherry, Lime, Willow and Oak) and we moved round to the 8 different activities. William and Ella’s favourite activity was the sprinting (because William won and Ella came second), Charlotte wasn’t keen on the running races, however! Mrs Pinner told us that her highlight was seeing Mrs O’Hare model the new PE kit for September, 2018!
We had a fun afternoon, complete with an ice lolly at the end of the day! Thank you to Mrs Goldspring for her hard work in organising the day and to all the adults for all their help.
