The Grey Knights is a group of Sarratt villagers who manage and maintain a lovely 1932 Bedford WLB single deck bus and a 1979 Bedford minibus known to everyone as Bubbles.
The 1932 bus was owned by a former villager, Dennis Jenks, who was known as the White Knight for all the fundraising he did on behalf of village organisations and individuals.
When Dennis Jenks left the village some years ago he donated the bus to the village. The bus became known as “Jenks” due to Dennis’s generosity. The Grey Knights was formed to look after and maintain the vehicle and later Bubbles.
Membership of the Grey Knights is open to everyone and costs £35.00 pa which goes towards the costs of maintaining both buses.
Both vehicles are available to villagers and their groups provided a driver is available.
Please contact Alan Milsom ([email protected]) for further information and enquiries for booking the vehicles.
