METRO LAND AND THE  BIRTH OF COMMUTING –

Tuesday 14th January 7:30 pm for 8:00 pm

A talk by Ralph Hilsdon

Commuting was the key that allowed London to grow outwards (rather than upwards). The Metropolitan Railway did not invent commuting but they harnessed it to create the desirable residential areas known as the Metro-land along their routes.
Ralph’s talk will follow a short Annual General Meeting.
